REMEMBRANCE EVENT SATURDAY 9TH NOVEMBER 10.45am meet at the church lychgate War Memorial
This year we are dividing the candles into three areas:
Those who served their country and were killed in action or whilst serving
Those who were injured in some way but survived. We are aware that many of these did not or do not receive a thank you, and we'd like to address that.
This year for the first time, we are acknowledging the animals who served
We need to hear from you - did your relation serve in WW1 or WW2 and either lost their life or were left with injuries or illness from their service?
Please get back to us as soon as you can so we can add them to the list of 250 names we already have from the area.
Hear the fantastic St John's organ being played at this event, and the whole community including children can come and help with lighting the hundreds of candles.
Refreshments afterwards.
We have a British Legion box (Cradley branch, in memory of Friend of St John's Jennie Dunn) with poppies, crosses etc in church, and you can also order British Legion wreaths - details in church or send a note.
